Summer at Kidcam Camp at The University of Alabama in Huntsville feels energetic from the moment campers arrive. Hosted out of UAH’s University Fitness Center, this location brings together the excitement of a college campus, purpose-built camp spaces, and Kidcam’s signature programming to create a summer that’s active, engaging, and unforgettable.

Each day begins with campers in grades K–13 stepping into a space designed for movement, creativity, and connection. With two reserved courts dedicated just for Kidcam, campers always have room to play, compete, and collaborate. From high-energy sports and group games to team challenges and counselor-led activities, these courts quickly become the heartbeat of camp.

Just beyond the courts, Kidcam campers make use of two dedicated studio spaces, where creativity and focus take center stage. These studios host everything from STEM projects and hands-on experiments to arts and crafts, movement activities, and themed programming tied to each week’s schedule. It’s where imagination runs free—and where campers proudly show off what they’ve created.

Outside, campers enjoy a large green space perfect for classic camp games, water play, movement breaks, and outdoor fun. It’s the ideal balance to the indoor facilities, giving campers space to run, laugh, and recharge while enjoying the summer sunshine.

Kidcam’s thoughtfully designed weekly schedule keeps each day exciting while providing the structure kids thrive on. Every week features a new theme, woven into activities that include STEM, sports, arts, life skills, and movement. Campers build confidence through team-building challenges, learn independence through everyday camp moments, and grow friendships that last far beyond summer.

Swimming is a highlight at Kidcam UAH, with off-site swimming each week giving campers a refreshing break and something exciting to look forward to. Along with water play sprinkled throughout the week, campers stay cool while enjoying classic summer fun.

As the week winds down, Kidcam traditions shine. Campers participate in talent shows, cheer on their counselors during friendly competitions, and enjoy special performances and surprise moments that bring everyone together.
