At Kidcam Camps at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, campers get all of that plus the comfort, structure, and creativity Kidcam is known for. Each morning, campers in grades K–13 arrive at the heart of camp: Chewacla’s new, indoor Barndominium, a fully air-conditioned home base that keeps everyone cool, comfortable, and ready for a full day of fun. From there, the day unfolds across Chewacla’s beautiful grounds—wide green spaces, scenic trails, and nature-filled backdrops that make camp feel like a true escape. 

At Kidcam, summer runs on rhythm, not chaos. Every week follows a thoughtfully designed weekly schedule built around an exciting weekly theme, giving campers something new to look forward to while still providing consistency they thrive on. Days flow from engaging morning activities to high-energy play, creative projects, and calm moments to recharge—all intentionally planned to keep campers excited, supported, and engaged. 

Campers dive into hands-on STEM projects, where curiosity leads the way through building, experimenting, and problem-solving. Arts and crafts bring weekly themes to life as campers create, imagine, and proudly share their work. Through team-building games, sports, and movement, campers strengthen friendships, build confidence, and learn how to work together—all while having a whole lot of fun. 

Life skills are woven naturally into every part of the day. Campers practice communication, independence, leadership, and resilience through real camp moments—leading a group activity, trying something new, or cheering on a friend. These skills grow quietly but meaningfully, shaping campers long after summer ends. 

Chewacla State Park itself becomes part of the experience. Campers explore hiking trails,

take in the beauty of waterfalls, and enjoy lake exploration that sparks curiosity and connection to nature. Swimming takes place outside of the state park, giving campers even more opportunities to cool off and enjoy classic summer fun. 

One of the most exciting parts of Kidcam Auburn is its partnership with TigerWings, which is intentionally incorporated into the weekly schedule. Through this immersive enrichment program, campers connect learning to the real world. They engage in age-appropriate, hands-on experiences alongside local professionals, exploring fields like engineering, construction, health care, energy, agriculture, music, and more. TigerWings inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and helps campers discover how their interests and skills fit into the world around them. 

As the week winds down, Kidcam traditions take center stage. Talent shows, counselor competitions, special performances, and surprise moments fill the Barndominium with laughter and applause. These are the moments campers talk about all year—the ones that make them excited to come back next week. 

For parents, Kidcam keeps summer refreshingly simple. Families can choose only the weeks they need, with options to add Extended Hours, Lunch, and Snacks for flexibility. Kidcam at Chewacla fills quickly each week, so families are encouraged to secure their spots early and lock in their summer plans with confidence.
