Welcome to Kidcam Camps at Camp Big Red!
For campers K–13, the Spirit of Summer comes alive at Western Kentucky University’s Preston Center. Camper activities at the Preston Center include swimming 2 days a week, STEM, sports, arts, life skills, water play, and Kidcam’s long-standing traditions. Plus, they will enjoy talent shows, counselor competitions, and more.

$185 per week
$166.50 for siblings
*All prices include sales tax on services as implemented by the state of KY.
Deposit / Payment Plans end April 30. After that, tuition must be paid in full or up until the Friday prior to each week of camp. A $60 deposit per week secures your camper’s spot for each week you plan to attend. Remaining tuition is due by Friday at 3:00 PM prior to each camp week. If final payment is not received by this deadline, the deposit will be forfeited and the camper’s spot will be released.
Before & After Care
7:00 - 8:30 AM | 3:00 - 6:00 PM After-care
Before Camp Care is available as early as 7:00 AM. Campers may arrive between 8:30AM-8:55AM at no charge. The camp day begins at 9:00AM.
After Camp Care is available from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Registration

Registration Fee
Registration fees are non-refundable. Please visit our Policies & Procedures for complete details on refunds.

Weekly Tuition
Enrollment is first-come, first-served and weekly sessions will close once full. If space remains, families may register up until the Thursday prior to each camp week. All payments must be completed through your online parent account. Deposits will be available on the final payment screen after each week is added to the shopping cart.

Refunds
Registration fees are non-refundable. Please visit our Policies & Procedures for complete details on refunds.
Refunds can be processed up to 4 weeks before a camper’s start date by emailing accounting@kidcamcamps.com.
$10 fee per camper/week + credit card processing fees.
Transfer of weeks can now be managed directly in your online Parent Portal if processed 10 days prior to a camper's weekly start date.
Transfers
Transfers between camp weeks must be made no less than 10 days leading up to the week of the transfer if here is available space remaining in the week requested.
A $10 administrative fee will be added to all transfer requests that can be accommodated.
Transfers can now be managed directly in your online Parent Portal within the policy timeframe and through the section of the week you need to transfer!

Ages
Kidcam Camp is open to boys and girls, K-13 years old. Campers MUST be entering Kindergarten before attending a Kidcam Camp.
Lunch & Snacks
Parents may send food from home for their campers each day or pre-purchase Breakfast, lunch, and snack for each day they attend.
Breakfast - $2.25 per day, per camper
Lunch - $7.50 per day, per camper (university dining)
Snacks - $2.25 per day, per camper
Food options MUST be pre-purchased, by day, through your Parent Portal.
For lunch, snacks and breakfast, item MUST be purchased as an Add-On in the weekly section of your Parent Portal for each day the meal item is needed. Parents can do this each week through their 'order' section for the week in their parent portal.

If a camper doesn't have lunch, lunch will be charged using the card on file.
For safety reasons, glass bottled drinks are not allowed at camp. Box drinks, canned drinks, or plastic/insulated thermos are acceptable.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Drop-off and pick-up are located at the WKU Preston Center-Campus Recreation & Wellness, in the roundabout off Regents Ave in the Regents Hall lot. Please do not park and walk your camper up for drop-off, stay in the carpool line. WKU employees may walk their camper to the drop off spot from their place of work.

Gear
CAMP SHIRTS MUST BE WORN EVERY DAY. There is no exception to this rule unless a day is noted on your schedule as “costume day” or other type of special dress day.
If a camper comes to camp without a camp shirt, the camper MUST purchase a shirt to remain in camp that day. The parents also have the option to bring a shirt to camp.
Please label all shirts, shorts, shoes, towels, water bottles and lunch boxes, or other items brought from home.
Activities | Weekly Themes
Kidcam’s engaging weekly themes are action-packed with activities that promote fun, fitness, friendship, and creativity each week.
“The Spirit of Summer” celebrates all that makes Kidcam’s 52 years GREAT!
Campers enjoy a different theme each week, while incorporating activities ranging from sports, arts, STEM, special activities, and water play.
Weekly schedules will be posted online no later than the Friday prior to each week a camper attends.

Brianne Gaines
My name is Bri Gaines, and I will be your new Camp Director this summer! I am so excited for a summer filled with laughter, fun, and memories! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from WKU. I also have a strong background in childcare, and this has truly been my passion.
This past school year I was a teacher at the Early Learning Center (ELC). I have also volunteered at our kids’ school for many years and held a role in their PTO as Spirit Night Committee Head for several of those years. I was a Girl Scout volunteer for 7 years, including Troop Leader for several of those years as well. I am eager to meet all of our amazing campers and families! I can’t wait for our summer at Kidcam together!
Fun Facts:
Traveling the world has been my lifelong passion, and I always enjoy exploring new places.I love to horseback ride.
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, kids, and our family.
