Did you hear Kidcam Summer Day Camp is coming to Point Mallard Park this summer?  But who what is a Kidcam Camp and why is it right for the children (and parents) of Decatur?

Kidcam Camps is one of the most trusted name brands in day camp programs for children ages 5-13, and camp isn’t just something they do, it’s ALL they do...for almost 50 years.  And through long-standing traditions and values, Kidcam works year-round to bring the Spirit of Summer to life by creating memorable moments and lasting relationships all through the power of camp.

Kidcam partners with premier facilities in local cities across the southeast to create great, safe summer camps for children.  The programs offer different weekly themes that incorporate the best of the facilities where they operate to build a welcoming, safe, and supportive summer program where every child is treasured for what makes him or her unique.  Kidcam campers are made to feel that they are a part of something truly special and stay fully engaged in daily activities and programs through Kidcam’s unique curriculum of STEM, sports, arts, movement, water play, life skills, and long-standing traditions that create memorable moments and lasting relationships.

Campers at Point Mallard will not just participate in sports, arts, STEM and life skill programs, but they will also enjoy the water slides and swimming 4 days a week in a controlled group setting that’s safe for them but also ensures they still have a blast at camp and exercise their body and mind.  In addition to these activities, camp is based in the T.C. Almon Center with more camp favorites including: song and dance competitions, board & card games, special performances, talent shows, counselor competitions, group games and more.

Kidcam is accredited through the American Camp Association and provide parents the option to schedule only the weeks they need camp with extended hours, the option to buy lunch and snacks, highly trained staff, and the opportunity to enjoy all the amazing offerings that make Point Mallard special.

This isn’t just any day camp.  It’s a Kidcam Camp where Summer ROCKS!

*NOTE: Campers must be 5 years or older before attending a Kidcam Camp.

Accreditation

Kidcam Camps is proud to be Accredited by the American Camp Association. ACA Accreditation means that your child’s camp cares enough to undergo a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of its operation every year — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. ACA collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at your child’s camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation. Camps and ACA form a partnership that promotes growth and fun in an environment committed to safety. ACA accreditation assures families that camps have made the commitment to a safe, nurturing environment for their children. ACA standards are recognized by courts of law and government regulators as the standards of the camp community.
